Sr. QA Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll be part of a high-performing team ensuring Blackthorn’s Salesforce-native apps meet the highest quality standards. This role blends test automation expertise, performance testing, and mentorship, with direct impact on product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans and cases across the SDLC

• Review tickets and technical documents to engage early in development

• Build and maintain automated tests using frameworks like Playwright

• Design automated testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cumulus CI, MetaDeploy)

• Plan regression, API, and critical user flow tests

• Collaborate with cross-functional scrum teams to deliver quality features

• Mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for quality standards

• Manage test data strategies (large-scale Salesforce records, clean environments)

• Execute performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize systems

• Support mobile testing with emulators, simulators, or cloud device farms

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software testing experience, with strong test automation expertise

• 3+ years testing on the Salesforce platform

• Proficiency with Playwright and programming languages for automation

• Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows

• Performance testing experience with relevant tools

• Mobile testing experience with automation frameworks

• Strong test data lifecycle management skills

• Excellent English communication and collaboration across remote teams

• Self-directed, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced environments

• Bonus: Salesforce admin or Blackthorn product experience
