Director, Marketing Operations

Fourth is seeking a Director, Marketing Operations who will lead the marketing operations function. This individual will be responsible for marketing related measurement, planning, technology infrastructure, and data management, as well as coaching and measurement of the Sales and Marketing Development Reps on the team. The right candidate will work collaboratively with sales executives, marketing, presales, and sales operations to build a team that delivers a consistent pipeline and is able to evolve with the business. You will be responsible for developing reps, implementing a plan, and measuring and delivering marketing’s pipeline results. 

The Role. . .

  • Orchestrate the annual marketing planning process to ensure MQL targets and Marketing budget are in line with bookings targets and activities needed to achieve results.

  • Ensure impact-level marketing measurement and executive reporting on marketing’s contribution to the business, including campaign tracking and dashboards that provide insight into campaign performance and areas for optimization

  • Coordinate the budget strategy and manage the budget allocation and reconciliation process

  • Lead data strategy development and infrastructure deployment, including technology ownership and marketing process governance

  • Manage Sales Development organization to goals, objectives and influenced quota achievement

  • Manage Austin and London-based sales development positions to support the sales and CSM organizations

  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach SDRs/MDRs (note: successful SDRs are promoted with the organization within 12 to 18 months, making hiring and training a particularly important function.)

  • Research software and technology that can impact our outbound prospecting efficiency

  • Monitor and refine sales lead processes and metrics, including the effective use of Salesforce.com and other systems

  • Proactively work to improve the cadence and throughput of the assigned sales development target accounts and compile team reports to track

  • Work closely with sales and CSM teams to ensure a positive working relationship and maximize the impact and effectiveness of sales/marketing development.

The Ideal Candidate. . .

  • 7-10 years of proven success in Marketing Operations or Sales Development Management, preferably in high technology-based products and/or services.

  • People management (through influence), including experience growing and scaling a successful sales/marketing development team in a fast-growth environment

  • Proven ability in establishing and achieving or exceeding measurable goals in a constantly changing sales development organization, and able to drive organizational change and improvements

  • Data-driven marketing strategy, planning, budget allocation, and organizational alignment experience

  • Marketing measurement analysis and delivery using data from Marketo, Salesforce, Web analytics and finance systems

  • Experience with lead management process creation, delivery, and monitoring, particularly around service level agreements, is desirable

  • Passion for data with the ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations
