Production Artist

We’re looking for a Production Artist to join our plush team. This is a supporting role where you will create plush sample feedback documents in Adobe Illustrator and communicate our revision requests to factories in Chinese. You will also create character turnarounds and spec sheets of our plush concepts in Adobe Illustrator as needed.The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills in working-level English and Mandarin, as well as proficiency in doing character turnarounds in Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Create plush sample feedback documents in Adobe Illustrator and communicate our revision requests to factories in Chinese

• Translate spec sheets and feedback documents into Chinese and help communicate with factories via messages, with occasional phone calls expected

• Create character turnarounds and plush spec sheets in Adobe Illustrator for manufacturing as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

• Experience in the toys/collectables/plush industry, character design, and/or illustration

• Fluent in English for day-to-day communication with our global team

• Working-level spoken Mandarin, with the ability to type with Pinyin

• Systematic thinking, extremely organized and detail-oriented

• Excellent communicator

Bonus

• Fluent in spoken Mandarin and have experience working with Chinese manufacturers

• Previous working experience in toy manufacturing

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 65,000 CAD per year (Remote - Vancouver, CA)

50,000 - 65,000 CAD per year (Remote - Toronto, CA)
