Position Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition to join our growing People & Culture team. This position reports to the Director, People & Culture.

In this newly-created role, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and recruiting top talent for Rewiring America. This position involves collaborating closely with hiring managers and other People & Culture team members in order to staff our team with the highest caliber talent. This position also manages our contracted recruiters. As the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, you’ll drive recruitment strategies, enhance processes, and build a strong talent pipeline. 

This role is hands-on: you’ll be expected to personally lead multiple recruitment processes while also managing contracted recruiters and supporting hiring managers who will be leading on other roles.

What You’ll Do

  1. Recruitment and Sourcing

  • Utilize multiple channels to recruit candidates.

  • Proactively develop qualified and targeted talent pools (both active and passive candidates).

  • Assess candidates against specific job requirements and cultural fit.

  1. Cultivate Relationships

  • Maintain continuous engagement with candidates so that we maximize our chances of securing top talent, while also ensuring that all candidates, regardless of outcome, have a positive experience with our process.

  • Develop strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure productive, smooth, and successful hiring processes.

  • Be a thought leader to provide guidance as a subject matter expert ensuring best practices.

  • Collaborate with hiring teams  to create diversity and inclusion plans for recruitments as well as ongoing outreach programs. 

Manage

  • Communicate clearly with contract recruiters on expectations and needs.

  • Hold recruiters accountable on timelines, candidate quality, and the continuous engagement standard.

  • Manage an internal staffer providing coordinator/administrative support and develop them in all areas of talent acquisition.

Support Hiring Managers

  • Develop and execute the training curriculum to upskill hiring managers running their own processes.

  • Act as a coach to hiring managers, supporting them throughout the stages of hiring.

Process Excellence

  • Implement a standardized recruitment process across contract recruiters, hiring managers overseeing their own processes, and any recruitment procedures you directly manage

  • Ensure our ATS (Workable) is used consistently to provide stakeholders with a clear view of all candidates’ status.

  • Communicate regularly and clearly with all stakeholders about the status of each recruitment process, including any challenges that need to be overcome.

  • Enhance current or develop new processes and policies regarding hiring and recruiting.

  1. Metrics And Performance

  • Ensure the Talent function delivers against key recruitment metrics.

  • Work alongside the organization to implement effective assessment tools.

Employer Branding and attraction

  • Work with internal stakeholders to build our employer brand. 

  • Partner with diversity focused vendors to attract talent from all walks of life.

Requirements

The successful candidate thrives in a fast growing organization where staffing needs grow and change regularly. They will be able to inspire top-quality candidates to apply for and accept positions at Rewiring America while also managing contractor recruiters and coaching hiring managers to do the same. Especially important is a clear track record of bringing excellent talent to prior organizations.

Preferred

  • Experience with Workable and LinkedIn Recruiting

  • Experience using Google-suite tools

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 USD, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 160 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year (15 days during Presidential and Congressional elections). We have an office closure between Christmas and New Year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment. Regular, full-time employees and part-time employees are eligible to take up to sixteen weeks of parental leave, in all cases related to birth, adoption, or foster care starting from the first day of employment.
