We’re launching our Automotive Call Tracking Division to serve auto dealerships, dealer groups, and digital marketing agencies serving the automotive vertical across North America, and we're looking for an A-player Sales Executive to own and build this vertical from the ground up.

About the Role

This isn't a seat-warming role. The Call Tracking Sales Executive – Automotive Division will own revenue growth across the entire automotive vertical β€” targeting, engaging, and closing auto dealerships, dealer groups, automotive digital marketing agencies, and multi-rooftop franchise operations.

You’ll manage the entire sales cycle β€” from identifying prospects and building outreach lists, to scheduling demos, managing trials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring onboarding success.

This is a full-cycle sales role that combines outbound prospecting, consultative selling, and account expansion. You'll work directly with the CEO and cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Onboarding β€” your voice will shape our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Pipeline Building

    • Identify and target automotive businesses, franchise groups, and marketing agencies currently spending with competitors.

    • Run a dual-track approach: quick wins with single-location businesses ($200-$1,000 MRR, 2-4 week sales cycle) AND larger opportunity hunting with agencies and franchise groups ($5,000-$25,000+ MRR, 3-6 month cycle).

    • Build and manage your own outbound pipeline β€” 50-75 touches per week via phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry events.

    • Leverage our "Bring Your Bill" campaign: prospects send their current call tracking bill, we show them exact savings and handle the entire migration.

  • Consultative Selling

    • Conduct discovery calls to understand each customer’s call tracking usage, pain points, and pricing with current vendors.

    • Present 800.com's value proposition β€” #1 rated on G2, up to 50% cost savings, caller identity powered by customizable AI, and an automotive industry-tailored platform β€” then prove it with a hands-on demo that makes switching a no-brainer.

    • Guide automotive agency partners and dealer groups through multi-account trial setup and conversion.

    • Help individual dealerships go live with tracking scripts and reporting.

  • Closing & Account Expansion

    • Drive prospects from active trial to paid contract.

    • Emphasis on multi-location or multi-account deals.

    • Ensure smooth handoff to onboarding while maintaining communication during the first 90 days.

    • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities as accounts grow.

  • Collaboration & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasting in CRM.

    • Partner with Marketing to refine messaging and campaigns that resonate in the automotive industry.

    • Share customer insights with leadership to improve product-market fit and conversion rates.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in call tracking, martech, CRM, or adtech. You know what MRR means and you've built a book before.

  • Experience in the automotive industry or selling to dealerships, dealer groups, and automotive marketing agencies. You can speak the language and understand the pain points.

  • Strong outbound prospecting and closing skills β€” you love the hunt and follow-through.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities (phone, Meet/Zoom, email, and text).

  • Highly organized, with consistent pipeline management discipline.

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial fire β€” you want to build something, not just fill a quota.

Performance Goals

  • 90-Day Milestone: Build a qualified pipeline of $25,000+ in competitor MRR through active trials and pilots. This can be a mix of single-location quick wins and larger agency deals.

  • 180-Day Milestone: Convert pipeline to $25,000+ in live, paying MRR on our platform. At this point, you're earning meaningful commission on top of your base and ramp guarantee.

  • 12-Month Target: $90,000 MRR book of business. At this level, you're earning $180K-$200K+ total comp and unlocking accelerators.

Compensation Plan

  • Base Salary: $70,000

  • Ramp Guarantee: $2,500/month for your first 4 months β€” non-recoverable. This is yours to keep while you build pipeline. We invest in you from day one

  • New Business Commission: 20% of monthly recurring revenue (MRR) on every account you close, paid monthly, for the first 12 months that account is live

  • Existing Business Commission: 5% residual on MRR for every account after its first 12 months. Your book compounds

  • Accelerators:

    • Hit 100-150% of quota β†’ commission jumps to 25% on new deals

    • Hit 150%+ of quota β†’ commission jumps to 30% on new deals

    • Uncapped. No ceiling. No clawbacks after 60 days.

  • Milestone Bonuses:

    • First deal closed: $2,500

    • $10,000 MRR book: $2,500

    • $25,000 MRR book: $5,000

    • $50,000 MRR book: $7,500

    • $100,000 MRR book: $10,000 + equity discussion

  • Year 1 OTE: $180,000 - $200,000 (on-target)

  • Year 1 OTE: $250,000+ (exceptional performers)
