BI Engineer, Recruiting Analytics

About the Team

The Recruiting Analytics team designs strategic technology projects and data-driven insights to support the Recruiting Team's efforts to find qualified candidates. We're developing technology solutions in and around Greenhouse and Workday, data visualizations in Tableau, and are looking to build the team to support and promote continued growth. We're looking for experienced specialists who can come in and help shape an outstanding Recruiting Analytics team at DoorDash.

About the Role

We're hiring a BI Engineer, Recruiting Analytics, who will help develop technical solutions and recruiting insights that allow recruiters, recruiting leaders, and our partners to accelerate the hiring of passionate team members at DoorDash. You will design, configure, and implement data infrastructure that allows the generation of recruiting insights and improve the efficiency of recruiting operations.

This role can be Remote or based in San Francisco, CA, and will report to the Senior Manager of Recruiting Insights.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain essential data infrastructure that aligns with our requirements and enables the development of outstanding reporting and data visualizations.

  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling and deploy analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods

  • Design and implement a self-service analytics platform that enables users to access data and insights on-demand.

  • Provide expertise on data engineering issues, evaluate options within the context of our requirements, and provide consultative recommendations to the team.

  • Build automations in Python that improve the efficiency of recruiting operations, and reduce or eliminate manual tasks for recruiters and recruiting coordinators.

  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality by examining causes of data discrepancies and implementing scalable, technology-based solutions.

  • Uncover underlying issues or business problems and turn those issues into solutions within Greenhouse and Workday.

We're excited about you because…

  • You are an experienced IC with 5+ years of experience

  • You're an expert in building data pipelines, data warehousing, data modeling, and BI applications.

  • You know how to improve processes while designing for scale (i.e. automation)

  • You're experienced in Recruiting, People, or HR Tech teams, and specifically working within Greenhouse and Workday

  • You are motivated and excited about flexing your technical skills to help others to use the power of data through insights

  • You are always looking for opportunities to learn and better your work product

  • You are comfortable and excel in a fast-paced, continually changing team-oriented environment, and able to manage multiple deadlines concurrently

  • You're capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • You are always evaluating whether our team's activities are achieving the desired, measurable impact

  • You have a BA/BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, applied math or equivalent work experience

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $140,000 - $210,000, plus opportunities for equity and commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
