Senior Accountant

Floify, the leader in mortgage automation and point-of-sale solutions, is seeking a senior accountant to join our team to support our growth. The senior accountant position will report to the Accounting Manager and assist in the daily accounting operations.

 The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in the Company’s accounting processes. This position will provide an immediate impact to the monthly financial close procedures and assist in the creation of detailed support schedules. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for completing various accounting and reporting tasks, provide detailed analyses, maintenance of a subset of schedules, and development and completion of reconciliations for both balances sheet and income statement accounts.

 What You’ll do:

  • Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations

  • Maintain various schedules & subledgers

  • Assist in the development of clear documentation and support work papers

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Adhere to required timelines

  • Review transactions for proper account classification

  • Assist in researching and preparing technical accounting reports or memos in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Support periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) balance sheets and income statement analyses

  • Assist in preparation of external audit requests

  • Assist with special accounting projects or analyses

  • Other duties as assigned

 What You'll Need to Get the Job Done:

  • You must live in the State of Colorado, Texas, Illinois, or Wyoming (required!) but this position can be full-time remote from any of these locations

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience

  • Public accounting experience with a recognized firm, big 4 preferred

  • CPA or currently working to obtain CPA license

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures

  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their practical application

  • Advanced Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables

  • Knowledge of SaaS accounting principles

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Acute attention to detail
