District Partnership Manager

The role:

Mystery Science is a leading science resource used in over half of US elementary schools. As a District Partnership Manager (DPM), you’ll be helping districts across the country purchase a resource that has a passionate following. You’ll cultivate deep relationships with our district partners. And you’ll work with them to learn more about what it takes to truly support teachers as they dive into new standards and approaches to teaching science. We’re looking for an experienced relationship and account manager who can step into the role, ready to do whatever it takes to support our customers. 

You will report to Julia Castle, our Director of District Partnerships. We are headquartered in San Francisco, however this is a remote position. 

About you:

  • You’re an outstanding listener and communicator, able to ask the right questions that lead to insight about what our districts need and how we can best support them. 

  • You build relationships easily and can serve as a thought partner to districts as they navigate the new science standards and busy schedules of multi-subject elementary teachers. 

  • You enjoy thinking big and collaborating with your teammates to reach even more districts nationwide. 

  • You embrace ambiguity and love to innovate new ways to engage and wow customers. 

  • Your enthusiasm for science education is contagious. 

  • You bring a strategic perspective to solving problems. 

Day to day:

On any given day at Mystery Science, you can expect to: 

  • Ensure the success of our district members by offering support through exceptional written and verbal communication 

  • Be the voice of our district members internally, ensuring that our products exceed expectations 

  • Present our program to district instructional leaders to showcase how Mystery Science can support science learning in the district 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our district members while managing a pipeline of prospective members 

  • Identify sales opportunities and reach out to new districts that may want to try out Mystery Science 

  • Collaborate with our colleagues at Discovery Education to identify joint sales opportunities 

  • Answer questions around implementation, pricing, technical issues, and anything else district partners need to be successful
