Student Health and Safety Manager

Paper is looking for a Student Health and Safety Manager to join our growing team. As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be an advocate for student health and safety across the Paper platform. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to prioritize student health and safety above all else. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Platform Managers to identify and monitor students who are flagged for potential health and safety risks

  • Review and analyze student health & safety reports

  • Liaison with student health professionals at partner districts

  • Plan, coordinate, and share best practices to support students & families 

  • Provide direct support to Platform Managers

  • Keep records of each child’s progress, interests and any problems that may occur

  • Providing staff with essential information to  better understand factors (cultural, societal, economic, familial, health, etc.) affecting a student’s performance and behavior.

  • Assessing students with mental health concerns.

  • Obtaining and coordinating community resources to meet students' needs.

  • Helping school districts receive adequate support from social and mental health agencies.

  • Advocating for new and improved community/school service to meet the needs of students and families.

  • Helping the system respond effectively to each child's needs.

Requirements:

  • B.A. or Masters in Social Work preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish & English

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Organized
