The ideal candidate will possess strong financial literacy, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to manage competing priorities effectively in order to meet the requirements of the role.
The role:
As internal accounting lead, you will be working within the Finance team and company leadership team to scale the internal accounting function and to manage all external parties involved in accounting and tax. You should be comfortable with all aspects of accounting and tax as well as with providing concise written and oral summaries of your findings to stakeholders across the organization including senior management.
Responsibilities:
Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth -> You take ownership of GAAP and IFRS financial reporting
Manage 3rd party service providers and outside counsel on all aspects of accounting and tax
Develop & maintain internal systems, best practices and reporting
Partner with FP&A to support budget to actual variance analysis on an ongoing basis
Work with leadership across the organization to evaluate how projects will manifest in financial results
Assist with technical accounting analysis, including the preparation of accounting memos.
Collaborate with company leadership regarding accounting/tax impact of strategic projects relating to international expansion, new product lines and M&A
Lead AR/AP processes
Participate in coordinating the planning and execution of annual consolidated audits, as well as statutory audits with external auditors.
Maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience including at a big 4 accounting practice or similar
Bachelor's degree, CPA is a plus
Proficiency in Excel, QBO & Xero; Good working knowledge of Looker, SQL & similar
Fluency with U.S. GAAP and the ability to prepare relevant technical accounting memos
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
Ability to harness financial data to inform decisions
Experience working with C-Level executives from both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to implement new financial information systems & processes geared towards increasing efficiency and controls for a maturing enterprise
