Study.com is looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist that is passionate about making education accessible. As a HR Generalist, you will partner with all of the HR department ensuring efficient operations while providing an outstanding employee experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to benefit and leave administration, HRIS/record keeping, compensation, employee relations, HR compliance, recruitment, and more.

About the HR Generalist Position

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the Company’s people and benefits programs. Perform benefit administration to include employee communication, annual/open enrollment meetings, reconciling invoices for payment, enrolling, reinstating, and terminating employees from appropriate benefit plans, in addition to directing leave of absence programs.

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team in planning, implementing and executing onboarding strategies and new employee orientations to deliver exceptional first-day experiences 

  • Utilize HRIS systems for data entry, modification, and reporting including administrative management of confidential HR documents.

  • Produce and analyze reports to assist with compensation management, and responsible for completing annual compensation surveys.

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers to address people matters that require in depth knowledge of company policies and procedures while communicating and working with confidential information.

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources in an administrator or generalist role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated HR experience in the following disciplines: benefits, compensation, HR systems, employee relations, legal compliance for US

  • Experience with the full employee hire to retire process

  • Demonstrated success in managing and working with sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage many conflicting priorities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Keen eye for detail and analytically driven

  • Excellent verbal  and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization

  • Solid HRIS knowledge and experience, Namely HRIS is a plus
