Email/SMS Marketing Lead

Role:

We’re looking for an A-player to lead Email & SMS strategy for clients, specifically focused on acquisition and retention.

As the Marketing Lead, your biggest goal is to monitor the overall health of client accounts and focus on Macro KPI’s while leveraging analytics to set strategies and goals. Consider yourself both the architect and the foreman that builds client accounts to new levels, with skill, tact, and transformational leadership.

It's the perfect role for the marketer looking to flex their skills as an effective leader while curating a proven track record for their team. This is a full-time, remote role.

 Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in Email marketing and SMS or other related marketing

  • You have a general understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value 

  • You’re familiar with Lean Analytics and Continuous Growth models

  • Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly and share ideas

  • Experience managing multiple project deadlines and client workloads

  • You are always looking for ways to tailor strategy and optimize outcomes

  • You know you don’t know it all and openly embrace constructive feedback

  • You have an eye for the granular details, and a knack for time management, and organizational

  • You’re a good communicator with all-around good energy

  • Experience managing medium-large email lists (100k+) and driving revenue growth

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Marketing Lead consists of four parts

Strategy: Set Appropriate Account KPI’s and Benchmarks

Based on:

  • Account performance

  • Industry benchmarks

  • Legacy data

Identify, Revise and Update new flows per account (monthly)

  • Remove worst-performing A/B tests, document takeaways, and request design iterations

  • Share strategies with clients and layout account growth game plans

List Cleaning

  • Purge email addresses and opt-outs from Klaviyo

  • Suppress unengaged

  • Delete inactives

Execution: Flows & Campaigns

  • Working with a team of extraordinarily talented Markets to pull all the right levers

  • Address any last-minute technical issues within the template and integrate new technologies into the Client's stack & Klaviyo

  • Identify the best segments.. whether that be sending campaigns to the right audiences AND/OR creating logic for email funnels

Analytics: Metrics

  • Track client account metrics

  • Update Metric Goals

  • Monitor and track A/B tests for Flow & Campaigns

  • Frequently collaborate with AMs to facilitate action items related to strategies and growth game plans

  • Track and report monthly and quarterly performance metrics

Management: Weekly Internal Team Meetings To Review Status of Accounts

  • Provide a strong sense of transformational leadership to your team -keeping them empowered, supported, appreciated, intentional, and fulfilled in their roles (read: keeping the vibes good and the team healthy)

  • Facilitate necessary conversations with relevant team members to keep creative, content strategy, and all things in between moving toward growth targets

  • Maintain strong communication skills, attentive on Slack channels, and present on client calls to articulate overall account health and plans for upcoming email strategies

  • Update internal brand channels with Campaign and Flow updates

  • Be vocal with your department head on your bandwidth, insight, thoughts, opinions, dreams because you want to grow in your role and bring your best to the table

  • Be responsive via Slack for team collaboration and communication to crush the day-to-day!
