Creative Project Manager, Packaging

THE ROLE

The Creative Project Manager is responsible for supporting the packaging design team throughout the entire packaging process by planning and executing a large volume of projects, delegating tasks, creating and managing timelines, and ensuring the team have everything they need to produce their best, most iconic work. You must work cross functionally with various stakeholders to ensure their POV is represented in the work, all while ensuring deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is obsessed with organization and process. Someone who can take initiative and truly own the packaging process from concept to hand off. Must excel at working upstream to anticipate and plan for changes.

This role will report directly into the Head of Creative Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Intake creative briefs and participate in weekly packaging briefing meetings

  • Set up projects and timelines in project management system, Wrike

  • Lead team stand-ups, delegating tasks and solving roadblocks

  • Routing creative with internal and external stakeholders and for artwork approvals

  • Act as point person for all stakeholder communication, and especially working closely with the brand managers to give status updates and solve roadblocks

  • Deliver projects and manage proofing

  • Continually evaluate and optimize the creative process to create efficiencies

  • Manage team resourcing and own the freelance roster

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in management, business, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience working in an agency or in-house creative team

  • Some understanding of print production and packaging design

  • Consumer goods experience is a plus

  • Experience with Wrike project management system a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience managing various stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong leadership and ability to quickly make decisions while remaining calm

  • Can-do attitude who can manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Curious and collaborative mindset with the ability to foster teamwork at all levels of the organization
