As we expand, we’re looking for driven, self-motivated Sales Development Representatives who are ready to make an immediate impact at a fast-moving startup reshaping the construction management space.

The Role

As an SDR at HeyPros, you’ll be on the front lines of our growth — introducing contractors nationwide to a simpler, smarter way of doing business. You’ll speak directly with 80–100 contractors each day, educating them on how our platform helps them secure homeowner leads, partner with general contractors, and grow their business.

Your mission: build trust quickly, clearly communicate HeyPros’ value, and sign up new contractors during each call. Most interactions will happen via phone and text using Quo (formerly OpenPhone), with internal collaboration happening in Slack and activity tracked in HubSpot. While most sales will be completed over the phone or via text, you will occasionally host Zoom calls for contractors who want a deeper walkthrough of the platform.

Conversations typically last 10–15 minutes, and the goal is to close directly during these interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make 80–100 outbound calls and text conversations daily to educate contractors on HeyPros using Quo.

  • Clearly demonstrate how contractors can acquire homeowner leads and collaborate with construction companies through our platform.

  • Own the full sales cycle for these conversations — from initial outreach to signup — during the same interaction.

  • Use HubSpot as your CRM to log calls, texts, notes, and pipeline activity accurately and consistently.

  • Collaborate with the team in Slack to stay aligned, share wins, and get quick support during live conversations.

  • Occasionally run Zoom calls for contractors who want a more visual or in-depth walkthrough.

  • Provide clear, structured feedback from conversations to sales leadership and product teams to help improve messaging, onboarding, and product experience.

Performance Goals

  • Week 1: Sign up 2–3 new contractor accounts

  • Week 2: Increase to 3–4 new contractor accounts

  • First Month: Close 20 new accounts

  • Ongoing: Maintain and improve close rates as you refine your outreach and contribute to a scalable playbook for the role

Who You Are

  • You understand the U.S. construction market, especially residential construction trades such as roofing, painting, remodeling, flooring, and similar services.

  • You have basic knowledge of how online lead marketplaces like Thumbtack, Angi/HomeAdvisor, and Yelp operate for contractors (pay-per-lead or pay-per-interaction models, business listings, and reviews).

  • You’re a confident, clear communicator who sounds professional and personable on the phone and over text.

  • You are coachable, competitive, and motivated by hitting and exceeding measurable goals.

  • You are comfortable in fast-paced startup environments where priorities can shift and your input truly matters.

  • You take ownership of your responsibilities, are proactive in solving problems, and think about how to make the experience better for every contractor you speak with.

Compensation & Growth

We offer a base salary plus a commission structure, with two plan options so you can choose what best matches your goals (for example, a higher base with moderate upside, or a lower base with higher commission potential).

As HeyPros scales, high performers will have opportunities to move into roles such as Senior SDR, Account Executive, Team Lead, or Sales Manager, especially as we expand into more markets and verticals in the construction space.
