Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SEO Lead and Sales Account Executive to join our team and help drive our agency's growth to the next level. This role combines deep expertise in SEO with strong sales and account management skills. The successful candidate will also have an eye on stepping up into a leadership role, with the objective of building and leading a team of SEO experts to support the agency's expansion.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and lead a bold, data-driven SEO strategy designed to improve our organic visibility and market share.

  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits, keyword research, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with content creators to drive a content strategy that effectively captures user intent and maximizes rankings.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of SEO specialists, fostering a culture of ambition, experimentation, and success.

  • Work alongside content and marketing teams to ensure SEO is a core element of our overall strategy and implemented with precision.

  • Monitor SEO performance metrics and make swift, strategic decisions to continually enhance our organic presence.

  • Stay ahead of industry changes, search algorithm updates, and competitor tactics to keep us at the cutting edge.

  • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush) to track SEO performance, generate reports, and deliver actionable insights to clients.

  • Numerical and data-driven mindset with the ability to report on revenue attribution and other KPIs.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive new business opportunities through a combination of cold calling, personalized email campaigns, and strategic outreach on platforms like LinkedIn.

  • Collaborate with lead generation specialists to ensure a steady flow of high-quality leads using tools such as Clay, Apollo, and Smartleads.

  • Schedule meetings with qualified leads for our SEO team to present and close deals. 

  • Self-record personalized video messages to engage potential clients and enhance the outreach process, making your outreach efforts more engaging and personable.

  • Use CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, track leads, and monitor the progress of each deal.

  • Participate in industry webinars to share insights, build authority, and position the company as a thought leader in the SEO space.

  • Build and expand a personal LinkedIn following to create brand visibility and generate leads.

  • Exceed monthly lead generation and meeting scheduling targets.

Account Management

  • Manage and maintain client relationships, acting as their primary point of contact.

  • Provide ongoing updates, reports, and recommendations to clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

  • Conduct SEO audits to identify opportunities for client growth and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Lead the technical SEO efforts, including site architecture, crawlability, indexability, and page speed improvements.

  • Conduct technical screens to qualify leads based on SEO needs and potential ROI.

  • Work with editors and content writers to ensure content aligns with SEO objectives and drives client results.

  • Collaborate with the Ops Lead to refine operational workflows and sales strategies for maximum impact.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and content plans that integrate with our SEO services and content marketing efforts.

  • Coordinate documentation, CRM updates, and tracking to ensure seamless communication and workflow.

Requirements 

  • Proven three years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation in the digital marketing and SEO industry.

  • Solid understanding of SEO and digital marketing services to effectively communicate our value proposition.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently manage client relationships.

  • Strong ability to use tools such as Clay, Apollo, Smartleads and Notion for lead generation and CRM management.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to record engaging outreach videos.

  • Ability to build relationships with potential clients through outreach, cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deals and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment and consistently meet or exceed KPIs and sales targets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in fast-growing startups or scaling businesses, where you’ve been a key driver of revenue growth.

  • A strong personal brand or social media presence that can be leveraged for lead generation and industry positioning.

  • Familiarity with video prospecting tools like Loom or Vidyard for recording personalized outreach messages.

  • Proficiency in setting up advanced workflows, automations, and reporting for different processes. 

  • Curiosity around AI models and tools and ability to construct multi-chain prompts and work with different LLMs
