Product Marketing Manager - DTC

About Us

7 years in business. We sell premium solar-powered security cameras to off-grid customers across North America. People who need security where there’s no power grid and no second chances.

We’re launching multiple new products in 2026 and targeting one new product every month. Our customers pay 3–5x more than Amazon alternatives because the positioning, the trust signals, and the product experience justify it.

We need the person who makes sure every product launch lands. The person who understands WHY someone pays $500 instead of $150 and builds the pages, the messaging, and the offers that make that decision obvious.

The Role

You own the story behind everything we sell. You own the reason someone looks at our camera and thinks “I need this” instead of scrolling past.

You’ll co-pilot our next product launch directly with the CEO, then own every product launch after that. You write the positioning. You direct the landing page. You build the offer architecture. You feed creative briefs to our growth team and creative team. You’re the voice of the customer inside the company.

You report directly to the CEO. No layers. Fast decisions. Your ideas get implemented, not buried in approvals.

What you’ll own

  • Product launch marketing — every new product starts with you. Research the competitive landscape, define the positioning, direct the landing page, build email angles, set creative direction. One launch per month.

  • Website and landing page strategy — you own conversion. You know why someone pays $500 over $150, and you build the page that makes that decision obvious.

  • Positioning and messaging — across the entire product line. You define what we say, how we say it, and why it matters to a cabin owner in Montana or a rancher in Alberta.

  • Offer architecture — bundles, upsells, cross-sells, pricing tiers. You decide how products relate to each other and how we maximize every order.

  • Creative direction — you brief our designer and creative team on what to build. Ad concepts, email visuals, landing page layouts, video hooks. You don’t wait for others to come up with ideas.

  • Customer research — you understand our buyer better than anyone in the company. Reviews, surveys, competitor analysis, community listening. You feed insights to every department.

  • A/B testing strategy — You test headlines, layouts, offers, and pricing. You know when to kill a test and when to scale a winner.

  • Conversion rate optimization — you live in Hotjar. Heatmaps, session recordings, scroll data. You diagnose why visitors leave and fix it through better messaging, layout, and trust signals. You don’t wait for someone to tell you the page isn’t converting.

  • International positioning — adapt messaging for Canada, Australia, and UK markets. Same products, different trust signals.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ve launched physical products in DTC or e-commerce and can share specific results — revenue impact, conversion rate improvements, AOV increases. Real numbers, not team achievements.

  • You think in buyer psychology, not features. You understand what makes someone trust a $500 product from a brand they’ve never heard of.

  • You write. Landing pages, headlines, email angles, product descriptions. You produce, not just plan.

  • You’ve built offer architectures that moved average order value. Bundles, upsells, cross-sells — with measurable results.

  • Physical product experience is required. You understand COGS, shipping, returns, and how they affect marketing decisions. No SaaS-only backgrounds.

  • You see marketing as an ecosystem — positioning feeds ads, ads feed email, email feeds retention, reviews feed trust. Not isolated channels.

  • You can produce a full go-to-market plan for a new product.

  • You can name a product launch that failed and explain what went wrong and what you did differently next time.

  • AI-native. You use it daily, you know when it’s wrong, and you don’t depend on it to think for you.

Compensation

  • $4,000–$6,000/month base depending on experience and location

  • Performance bonuses tied to product launch results and conversion improvements — your pay scales with impact

  • Full tooling budget — Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Hotjar, whatever you need

  • Path to Head of Product Marketing as the team grows

How we work

  • Fully remote, flexible schedule outside 4-hour daily overlap with GMT+8 (CEO is in China currently)

  • Direct CEO access — no layers between you and decisions

  • Weekly strategy calls with leadership

  • Hubstaff for time tracking and transparency — everyone uses it, no exceptions

  • Fast decisions. No committees. You propose, we discuss, we move.

Don't wait, tomorrow could be too late.
