Senior Public Relations Manager

What we’re looking for: 

As Senior Public Relations Manager your mission is to strengthen our reputation and leadership position with a differentiated and compelling narrative that connects 6sense to our audiences of customers, prospects, investors, media, employees, and analysts. You will contribute to positioning 6sense as the leading B2B go-to-market platform for revenue teams. 

You are a brilliant communicator, curious story-seeker, and wizard with words. You have a passion for media relations that starts with developing a compelling pitch to securing the piece, and everything in between. You have a natural ability to uncover potential stories and know exactly where and how to tell them. 

In this role, you will:

  • Drive positive media coverage with top tier business, financial, and trade press through proactive media relations programs such as media advisories, media pitches, contributed articles, press releases, media events, and roundtables.

  • Strengthen relationships with media to ensure our messaging is accurately reflected in the press.

  • Develop editorial strategy and calendar to support business and marketing communications objectives. 

  • Seek, identify and create opportunities to tell data-driven stories that earn attention all on their own and bring our reasons-to-believe to life.

  • Oversee and manage media opportunities through to completion, ensuring successful message pull through, executives are briefed and prepared, deadlines are met, and outcomes hit the mark.

  • Develop a process for managing inbound media requests, partner and vendor opportunities, and field inquiries.

  • Manage cohesive content and storytelling opportunities with external partners, customers, and investors.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to lead content ideation, creation, activation, amplification, and measurement requirements.

  • Partner with our social media team to build programs and develop content to amplify news, announcements, and media coverage.

  • Work with outside agencies as necessary to achieve objectives.

  • Stay on top of the trends relevant to our industry and technology to leverage in our efforts.

  • Maintain an understanding of our competitive landscape, particularly messaging, positioning, and announcements.

  • Champion new ideas and approaches while shaping how others, inside and outside of the company, see the future.

What you’ll bring to this role: 

  • 7+ years professional experience in Public Relations supporting leading B2B enterprise martech brands, preferably targeting go to market audiences.

  • 3+ years of team leadership experience.

  • Experience driving strategic PR programs that deliver results, preferably both in-house and within an agency. 

  • Established relationships with key media contacts and influencers who cover B2B enterprise SaaS. 

  • Expertise in managing issues including scenario planning and activation of communications initiatives.

  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills; a penchant for storytelling, high standards, and attention to detail; excels in synthesizing complex concepts into clear, concise, and powerfully engaging messages across multiple communication disciplines.

  • Experience managing external global PR agencies to deliver results within budget.

  • Affinity for building trust and positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, agency partners, business partners, and leaders across all levels and geographies to influence, guide messaging, and uncover unique stories. 

  • Experience proactively providing counsel to and challenge the business, while remaining agile and open to new perspectives; the ability to frame issues, ask the right clarifying questions, and balance the different priorities of key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Critical thinking capabilities to simplify complexity for self and others.

  • Ability to lead, attract, develop, and retain world-class, diverse talent. Can inspire and motivate a team to deliver with excellence.

  • Well-organized with excellent planning and project management skills; self-directed and resourceful managing a portfolio of diverse projects to completion.

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to complete projects quickly and recalibrate priorities as business needs change.

  • Eager to learn, develop and grow; willing to receive and provide feedback to improve. 

  • Curious about our technology, solutions, and the problems we solve in ways that uncover new ways to connect with our audiences.

  • Creative thinker, comfortable pushing the boundaries creatively and experimenting with inventive campaigns; experience managing creative work that meets business objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to stay composed and seek solutions in the face of a challenge, maintaining good judgment, and the ability to escalate appropriately.

  • Passionate about taking programs, content, and messaging from “good enough” to “really good”.
