Head of Product

About:

All Turtles is a product studio dedicated to solving meaningful problems for people and companies alike. We invest a combination of cash and services, in the form of deeply collaborative, hands-on work from our world-class team, in order to propel early-stage startups forward and increase the likelihood of shared success.

That shared success is what All Turtles is built upon. We are not an agency or consulting firm. Companies cannot hire us to work for them. We invest cash and services in return for equity, or we provide services in return for a combination of cash and equity, most often for companies that we’ve already invested in. Success for All Turtles is success for our studio companies and this reality permeates all aspects of what we do.

The role:

As the Head of Product at All Turtles, you will be in a unique position to provide leadership and strategic focus in defining, launching, and supporting a variety of products from our studio company founders as well as internal ideas. Our Head of Product will be the steward of the product and engineering organization and work cross-functionally to guide the creation of innovative products that have a chance to make an impact in the world.

You should have a demonstrated history of balancing speed with process and creating order out of chaos. You should also have good judgment, and understand the importance of documentation, without over-relying on the process. You should be excited to infuse the product with just the right blend of personality and productivity. You pride yourself on your ability to speak and write clearly, preferring to tell it like it is rather than muddy things up with buzzwords and jargon. You’re smart and you get things done, and you trust that your teammates do too.

Job responsibilities:

  • Establish, drive and communicate a strategic product direction

  • Convert product strategy and vision into a product roadmap and drive execution of that roadmap

  • Lead, develop and inspire a growing team of talented engineers

  • Balancing team priorities around new features, bug fixes and continuous improvements in quality and performance.

  • Identify and drive new internal processes to ensure that the team has the resources and infrastructure to support its operations and delivery excellence

  • Further our culture of innovation and inclusiveness that fosters empowerment, growth, and collaboration.

  • Recruit, hire and retain exceptional talent

  • Enable high-quality, timely execution in a fast-paced, iterative, fluid environment.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in product management

  • 3+ years experience leading and developing a team

  • Strong analytical skills and a reliance on data to drive decisions

  • Experience working at a fast past design first startup
