The Role:
The Business & Clinical Operations Manager is an ambitious self-starter who drives the strategy design, implementation, and ongoing operational efforts and new product and business launches. You will work directly with the Head of Clinical Operations and Customer Care and with select Leadership Team members to propose, design, implement and scale strategic efforts (e.g., scale new service lines, operational effectiveness efforts, market research/business analytics). This role will report directly to the Head of Clinical Operations and Customer Care and will work closely with select Leadership Team members.
Responsibilities:
Monitor clinical and clinical ops spend to ensure alignment with budget
Manage vendor relationships to ensure appropriate SLAs and negotiate scale-based discounts as we grow
Update clinical and clinical operations team budget on a quarterly basis and identify opportunities for cost-savings
Manage and make clinician hiring and compensations decisions informed by data from capacity, utilization, budget and to maintain unit economics Product
Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency across teams to reduce the ratio of manager to clinicians and other variable spend associated with clinical and clinical operations team
Conducting research, analysis, and business modeling to help leadership make financially sound and strategically aligned decisions to ensure the quality of services while balancing business perspectives
Own cross clinical team processes to ensure standardization and efficiency, including:
Clinician team performance management system
Cross-clinical monthly meetings & ongoing communications to the clinical team
Act as product liaison for clinical/clinical operations team
Manage product feature request prioritization and timelines across clinical and clinical operations
Collaborate w/ product team on impact assessments for clinical feature requests
Ensure on-time roll-out and work with the engineering team to roll out new clinical ops features and communicate
Other roles and responsibilities as designated by the VP of Clinical Operations
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in clinical or business operations, preferably in a fast-growing start-up environment
Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment banking, and/or experience in a Product, Business Operations, Internal Strategy, or cross-functional operational role at a technology company is a plus
A record of academic achievement
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
Resourcefulness, persistence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional written and communication skills
Ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership
Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize and juggle multiple projects
You have sharp attention to detail with a natural feel for numbers and data and have a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You are able to tend to the blades of grass, while not losing sight of the broader landscape
You have impressive time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks with multiple stakeholders while hitting deadlines on time-sensitive projects. You are proactive and have a positive attitude with a can-do, service-oriented mentality
Must be based in the U.S. and legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time.
