Sr. Environment Artist

About the Job:

We are looking for talented 3D artists to join our architecture visualization team and help create high quality environment art assets and scenes. Candidates should have an exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, color, detail, and silhouette in regard to modeling and texturing. 

We support remote work for this position as well as having formal office space in Atlanta, Durham, and San Francisco. 

Candidates must submit an online portfolio, and may require an art test

Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine detailed photo-realistic and representational environments, landscapes, and props that are visually and technically industry leading

  • Create and manage a 3D photo-realistic rendering process for both interior and exterior environments

  • Ensure that assets meet quality and technical requirements for efficient renders 

  • Creating and revising models, textures and materials for environmental scenes

  • Authoring lighting, camera, and scenes for rendering

  • Contribute to improvement of environment art pipelines and asset quality

Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years professional experience creating high quality, 3D architectural renders

  • Have extensive experience creating arch vis using the Unreal Engine

  • Can demonstrate a diverse and incredible portfolio with the best examples of realistic 3D interior and exterior environments 

  • Able to work independently to a high level of quality solving visual and technical challenges

  • Self-driven with strong communication skills and are comfortable working in an environment of honest feedback and iteration

  • Detail focused with an eye toward accuracy and consistency with the ability to build assets and scenes from physical samples or reference images

  • Expertise in hard surface modeling using Maya and Zbrush (or equivalent 3D programs)

  • Experienced with a standard PBR based realistic texture/material pipeline and toolsets (including Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter and Designer)

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of real world photography

  • A passion for interior and architectural design
