Head of Product

Our human-centered design approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of our customers: our learners, alumni, and hiring partners. In this role, you’ll identify their most meaningful pain points and deliver solutions that will help them achieve their goals and allow us to grow our business. As Head of Product, you’ll also design, evangelize, and deliver on a product vision that maximizes the value we can deliver to our learners.

This role will build, run, and coach an effective, high-impact team; design and set goals for this function; and ensure the team collaborates effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. You will be responsible for our product roadmap, including defining, designing, and delivering the products that we build for Lambda School. The Head of Product will be responsible for our Product and Design teams and report to our Chief Learning Officer. 

What you'll do:

  • Lead the development of product vision and strategy for both near-term and long-term growth of learner engagement and success

  • Develop and execute a disciplined product development process including user research and discovery, ensuring key milestones are met

  • Drive product insights, roadmap prioritization, and resource allocation while ensuring continued focus on long-term innovation

  • Engage key stakeholders, working closely with cross-functional leaders to build enthusiasm for the product vision

  • Be a great manager and leader. Set clear goals to empower team members, drive an inclusive and collaborative culture, thrive in ambiguity, and give thoughtful feedback

  • Be a player coach and roll up your sleeves and contribute as a PM alongside the team when necessary.

What you'll have:

  • 7-10 years of product management experience, with at least five years of experience leading teams

  • Ability to translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic) and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership

  • Ability to drive product excellence across many different product lines

  • History of strong leadership focused on a collaborative, results-oriented culture; visionary thought leadership. A proven team player who will build a collaborative environment

  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, creating commitment and a strong drive for success for teams and partners
