Who we are looking for:
Thrive Causemetics is on the hunt for an experienced Director of Analytics to oversee the reporting and analytical needs of the company, while continuing to build out a team of highly skilled Data Analysts. This role will oversee insights across our Growth Marketing, CRM, Operations, Brand Marketing, and Technology teams. The ideal candidate has a blend of strong technical skills, managerial experience, and the ability to translate disparate data into actionable insights.
This role is remote.
Core responsibilities:
Directly manage, oversee, grow and develop a team of highly skilled analysts
Oversee and maintain the data infrastructure that powers Thrive’s internal reporting
Provide key insights and recommendations to drive marketing optimizations
Scoping and project management of analytical requests from across the company
Serve as Subject Matter Expert across all marketing channels
Mentor team of analysts on advanced predictive modeling techniques
Perform econometric analysis and compute descriptive statistics
Onboard and train new team members
Review and provide feedback for company-wide presentations by Data team members
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to formulate and complete full cycle analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, and strategic insights and recommendations
Experience necessary:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
2-4 years of experience using Machine Learning for data analytics, preferably in the eCommerce space
4+ years of experience managing a team
8+ years experience with eCommerce analytics
Experience with media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution
Experience with BI tools such as Periscope (Sisense), Looker, Tableau
Fluent in SQL (Redshift or Vertica experience preferred)
Ability to drive projects and initiatives with minimal supervision
Proficiency with Python for data analytics (pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, seaborn, plot.ly)
Strong ability to communicate results and create buy-in from members across the organization
Excellent verbal and written skills
Deep understanding of E-Commerce Analytics
Experience with digital marketing
Experience managing a team and/or direct reports preferred
Nice to haves:
Advanced degree in a quantitative field
Experience with Kaggle
