Who we are looking for:

Thrive Causemetics is on the hunt for an experienced Director of Analytics to oversee the reporting and analytical needs of the company, while continuing to build out a team of highly skilled Data Analysts. This role will oversee insights across our Growth Marketing, CRM, Operations, Brand Marketing, and Technology teams. The ideal candidate has a blend of strong technical skills, managerial experience, and the ability to translate disparate data into actionable insights. 

This role is remote.

Core responsibilities:

  • Directly manage, oversee, grow and develop a team of highly skilled analysts

  • Oversee and maintain the data infrastructure that powers Thrive’s internal reporting

  • Provide key insights and recommendations to drive marketing optimizations

  • Scoping and project management of analytical requests from across the company

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert across all marketing channels 

  • Mentor team of analysts on advanced predictive modeling techniques

  • Perform econometric analysis and compute descriptive statistics 

  • Onboard and train new team members 

  • Review and provide feedback for company-wide presentations by Data team members 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to formulate and complete full cycle analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, and strategic insights and recommendations

Experience necessary:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field

  • 2-4 years of experience using Machine Learning for data analytics, preferably in the eCommerce space 

  • 4+ years of experience managing a team 

  • 8+ years experience with eCommerce analytics 

  • Experience with media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution

  • Experience with BI tools such as Periscope (Sisense), Looker, Tableau 

  • Fluent in SQL (Redshift or Vertica experience preferred) 

  • Ability to drive projects and initiatives with minimal supervision 

  • Proficiency with Python for data analytics (pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, seaborn, plot.ly) 

  • Strong ability to communicate results and create buy-in from members across the organization 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills 

  • Deep understanding of E-Commerce Analytics 

  • Experience with digital marketing 

  • Experience managing a team and/or direct reports preferred 

Nice to haves:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field

  • Experience with Kaggle
