 Job Description:

As a Data Analyst on the Internal Applications Team, you’ll assist with development of reporting solutions and data management of our internal systems. In this role, you will use SQL, PowerBI and other reporting tools to help provide WideOrbit departments the ability to create and manage reports themselves. You will also help maintain and ensure the quality of data in various systems to include Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (D365CE) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365F&O).

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, data quality motivated individual to make a big impact across WideOrbit departments by helping provide data they can trust and use. In this role, you will need to understand business processes to understand the data, and over time you will gain a deep understanding of the WideOrbit business which ultimately will help shape your career development and goals.

 Here is what success will look like:

  • Manage the data export process of various system to SQL; to include D365CE and D365F&O

  • Create and maintain SQL databases with summary views

  • Create and maintain PowerBI datasets for end-users to use for reports and dashboards

  • Create data dictionaries for end-users

  • Create and maintain high-level dashboards for departments, executives, etc.

  • Work with users to delivery impactful & widely adopted reports and dashboards

  • Occasionally train users on PowerBI and other reporting tools/techniques

  • Maintain quality of data by using advanced tools to do data creation and updates

  • Help maintain system data such as products, licensed products, etc. in D365CE

  • Create ad hoc reports as needed

 To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

  • BS or MS in related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • 3+ years’ experience using SQL and SQL Server

  • 3+ years’ experience using PowerBI, Tableau or other BI tools

  • Experience creating and maintaining corporate reporting systems

  • Familiarity with CRM data sets. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to be data motivated with a strong attention to detail

  • Proven ability to work successfully independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning new tools

This position can be based in any of our WideOrbit offices or Telecommute/Remote locations will also be considered.
