Data Migration Specialist

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, the Data Migration Specialist role will be responsible for executing a range of external and internal requests, related specifically to migrations, data analysis and management, report preparation , and internal product changes.

As an internal data specialist, you will be helping customers and internal stakeholders solve their problems through the preparation of data analysis and effective communication. For example, you may be asked to perform data mapping into a spreadsheet or to assist our operations team with preparing a monthly customer analysis reports.

Your specific responsibilities

  • Support new and existing customers and their onboarding of IP data

  • Perform data mapping and manage complex datasets with high level of attention to detail

  • Migrate customers’ data into our preferred format

  • Coordinate and receive inputs needed from both customers and internal stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate customer records.

  • Resolve issues directly or bring in other internal resources to ensure all customer issues are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction in a timely and careful manner.

  • Stay current with system changes and updates.

  • Work closely with customer success, product, and other internal team leads to improve customer experience

What we'd like to see in the ideal candidate

  • 2+ years’ experience in data/implementation-focused role involving support of SaaS or professional web-based solutions

  • Startup and/or work-from-home experience

  • Proficient in Excel and experience with CSMs (e.g., Vitally/ChurnZero) and CRMs (Salesforce)

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and project management skills (managing multiple data migrations at once)

  • Understanding of Accounts Receivable operations or experience with invoicing software.

  • Ability to recognize gaps in their own knowledge and seek instruction

  • Ability to empathize with and advocate for our customers

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and teach others

  • Good sense of humor and a love of nerdy things

  • Bonus if you’ve had experience with trademark prosecution, but it’s not required to apply.
