Position Overview

We are seeking a US-based Controller with public experience to provide global oversight over our three operating markets (US, UK, and Spain). This role will focus on scaling up the accounting function, developing a team, and implementing system and process changes that will position us for an initial public offering. This position will report to the VP of Global Finance. 

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the global accounting function, including our US, UK, and ES operations

• Oversight of our accounting system migration and cross-system integrations

• Public readiness of the accounting function

• Management of the monthly close process, consolidations, and reconciliations

• Management of regional and consolidated audit processes

• Establishment and maintenance of all accounting policies and procedures

• System integrations of multiple M&A, chart of account alignment, reporting alignment, etc.

• Building, developing, and mentoring the accounting team

• Building automation within key accounting processes

• Building and oversight of the internal control environment

• Ensuring all statutory reporting and filing requirements for all subsidiaries are met

• Corporate tax compliance in conjunction with 3rd party specialists

• Review of technical accounting treatment (i.e. purchase price accounting, equity/debt arrangements, revenue recognition, etc.)

• Review and approval of journal entries

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience

• Registered CPA in the US

• Technical accounting experience

• Healthcare / CPG experience

• Public Company / SEC experience

• Big 4, or top tier accounting firm a plus
