Position Overview
FemTec Health is seeking an experienced Managing Director to oversee Birchbox’s US business operations and provide strategic leadership. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, and driving Birchbox’s success. An outstanding Managing Director is an exceptional leader, adept at working in a matrix organizational structure to drive success of Birchbox’s vision. Beyond scaling our business, this position can truly influence the future of Birchbox, both the subscription and the ecommerce site, and expand our brand beyond beauty into overall well being and self care.
This is a remote based position, open to candidates in the United States.
Responsibilities
Take the lead on defining the strategy for the Birchbox US Business, guided by the company's growth and expansion objectives.
Own the P&L for the Birchbox US market.
Steer the US team in the right direction, with the right vision, while keeping the focus on our ambitious growth goals and alignment with the global strategy.
Develop a strong national network and ecosystem around Birchbox US
Represent the brand by being the face and voice of Birchbox in the US.
Be the US point of contact for the Executive Team and work as a team alongside Managing Directors of UK and Spain.
Spread the Birchbox culture in the team with a mix of ambition, passion, fun, candor and care.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in a general management position, preferably in a high-growth/scale up company.
True passion for Birchbox mission and vision - driven by the urgency of change and care for women’s wellbeing and self care.
Strong commercial background to embed the right mindset, with an outstanding record of supporting national Head of Sales and Key Accounts with negotiations.
Experience acquiring and working with Key Accounts/Corporate partners.
Background and network in the beauty industry in the US is a strong plus.
