What the Content Marketing Lead looks like:

The mission of the Content Marketing Lead is to develop and produce content that will help prospects discover Booksy and guide them along the buyer's journey. In addition to research, you will work with the marketing team and other departments to understand the needs of the prospects and customers to produce content that helps them see the benefits of Booksy.

  • Develop a content marketing strategy and oversee execution of that strategy that will accelerate the continued growth of Booksy in acquiring new providers and consumers and engaging existing providers and consumers by collaborating with Category Managers, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, LCM and external agencies

  • Lead the internal creative team (copywriters and graphic designer) to create and maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly content marketing plans; conceptualizing projects, assigning them and overseeing development.

  • Create content for a variety of channels (social, blog posts, email campaigns, articles, etc.) that tells the brand story and establishes Booksy as a thought leader in the beauty and wellness booking/business management space for both our providers and consumers.

  • Responsible for managing social media calendar, posting and content

  • Research competitors’ content messaging and distribution tactics to ensure Booksy has a differentiated voice and is staying ahead of others in the space.

  • Create innovative new content, leveraging video and other new media, to increase awareness of and affinity for our brand

  • Maintain editorial style guidelines, including voice and tone, and ensure that all of our external facing communication channels are aligned with the company mission and brand pillars

  • Understand the key metrics that drive our marketing success and ensure that our content is aligned with and supports overall marketing strategies

  • Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution

  • Collaborate with PR agency on earned media content opportunities

  • Measure and optimize content to produce desired results

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional work experience in a rigorous content-focused role

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience

  • A passion for the brands you manage, ensuring that they are represented accurately across all media, from swag to events to digital

  • A solid understanding of data-driven, technical marketing and how content marketing fits into an overall marketing strategy

  • Proficiency with social media platforms and content management system

  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales

  • Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience

  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it

  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance

  • University degree or equivalent working experience

  • Experience creating content about technology, the technology industry and people in tech
