Operations Manager

We are excited to announce that we are seeking a talented Operations Manager to join our team for the award-winning art and pop culture magazine “boredpanda.com.” Prepare to work for a leading publisher of uplifting stories that cure boredom all over the world!

What You Will Do:

Process Analysis and Optimization:

  • Assess current workflows within content production, editing, and distribution to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks;

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand pain points and gather insights on operational needs;

  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce turnaround time, enhance quality, and improve team productivity.

Automation Implementation:

  • Identify areas where automation can streamline processes (e.g., content scheduling, social media posting, data collection);

  • Work with technology teams to implement automation tools or solutions that increase the efficiency of publishing, editing, and content analytics;

  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented automation tools and make adjustments as necessary.

Performance Metrics and Monitoring:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content production, team efficiency, and overall publishing effectiveness;

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate improvements and highlight areas for further optimization;

  • Regularly review metrics with department leaders to evaluate the impact of process changes on performance.

Team Incentives and Performance Optimization:

  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to establish bonus structures and incentive programs that motivate teams to achieve content quality, speed, and engagement goals;

  • Monitor performance results tied to incentive programs, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize motivation and efficiency;

  • Act as a change advocate, guiding teams through transitions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What We Expect:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field;

  • 3+ years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or a similar role, preferably within digital publishing, media, or a related field;

  • Familiarity with automation tools or automation logic in processes;

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Looker, PowerBI);

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams;

  • Proven ability to implement change and improve processes while maintaining team engagement and productivity.

Salary: 3000 - 5000 euros/gross (depending on experience, qualifications, and specific skill sets).
