The Role

As a Product Designer at BRIGHTSCOUT, you will lead the comprehensive design vision for our clients' digital products, from initial concept through launch and beyond, collaborating closely with project managers, product owners, engineers, and client stakeholders to define product strategy. You will address complex user challenges, conduct user research, and develop innovative, user-centered solutions that align with business objectives. This role involves creating wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, user flows, and journey maps, ensuring consistency across all product touchpoints. You will gather necessary information through close collaboration with clients in workshops, crafting various methodologies to obtain insights. Additionally, you will iterate designs based on user feedback and testing results, staying updated with the latest design trends and tools, and balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility in your design decisions.

Responsibilities

Define and champion the product vision, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities through in-depth market and competitive analysis, ensuring the design strategy meets client goals.
Lead workshops to prioritize product features and roadmaps based on user needs, business value, and technical feasibility, driving comprehensive user research initiatives.
Conduct user research to create personas, journey maps, and user flows, then develop and iterate on product concepts through wireframes and prototypes, validating MVPs with client stakeholders.
Build and maintain organized component libraries and style guides to ensure design consistency and scalability across multiple client projects.
Facilitate a clear and efficient hand-off of designs to developers, providing ongoing design support throughout the development process to ensure alignment with design intent.
Design polished user interfaces, ensuring consistency across platforms, and collaborate with engineering teams for implementation, providing detailed specifications and participating in design reviews.
Communicate design concepts and research findings effectively to client stakeholders, leading design reviews and advocating for user-centered design principles throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with project managers, product owners, and engineers to define product strategy and ensure that design solutions meet both user needs and business objectives.
Stay updated with the latest design trends and tools to continuously improve design processes and outcomes, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the agency.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a digital design agency or product-driven environment.
A strong portfolio showcasing a holistic understanding of product design, from strategy to execution, with a focus on user-centered solutions.
Proven ability to lead comprehensive user research initiatives and translate insights into actionable design decisions that drive product success.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Figjam, with experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies, including Agile and Lean UX.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex user problems, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in conducting market and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
A passion for creating user-centered products that deliver business value, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to design excellence.
Experience in facilitating workshops and design sprints to prioritize product features and roadmaps.
Familiarity with building and maintaining component libraries such as Material-UI, Ant Design, Radix, Tailwind CSS, Carbon Design System, and other style guides to ensure design consistency and scalability across multiple projects.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Staying updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively seeking opportunities to integrate them into our product design process.

It's A Plus

Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience in conducting quantitative analysis of user behavior.
Experience in designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
