Lead Product Manager

About the role:

The Lead Product Manager at Builder.io will work directly with the CEO to drive our core platform strategy and execution. You'll own our Publish (CMS) product, the foundation of our platform, while helping shape our broader visual development ecosystem.

This role combines strategic product leadership with deep technical expertise—you'll drive product decisions and roadmap priorities while having the technical depth to make customer impacting technical decisions alongside engineering. Your strong foundation in modern frontend development, especially with frameworks like React, will be crucial for evolving both our core CMS capabilities and our emerging visual development tools.

As a Lead Product Manager at
Builder.io, you will:

  • Own and drive the product strategy for our core Publish (CMS) platform, from vision through execution

  • Partner with the CEO to shape our broader platform strategy and translate it into detailed roadmaps

  • Lead the evolution of our developer experience, including our APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks

  • Drive improvements to our onboarding experience and documentation, making our platform more accessible to developers and content teams alike

  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from both technical and non-technical users to inform product decisions

  • Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and customer success to deliver cohesive product experiences

  • Define and track key metrics for both developer adoption and content team usage

You will thrive in this role if you have...

  • Experience leading successful developer-focused products, particularly in the CMS, frontend tooling, or developer platforms space

  • Strong technical background with deep understanding of modern frontend development (React, TypeScript, APIs, build tools)

  • A proven track record of shipping features that serve both technical and non-technical users

  • Experience improving developer onboarding, documentation, and integration experiences

  • Strong product intuition and ability to balance technical excellence with user needs

  • A track record of working effectively with engineering teams and driving technical consensus

  • Experience gathering and synthesizing feedback from diverse user groups

The items above are a starting point for a conversation, not a hard list of requirements. If this role excites you, we hope you will apply!

About Builder.io:

Builder.io is pioneering the space between design and development, creating a new category of Visual Development Platform that transforms how teams build digital products.

Our Visual Copilot technology bridges the gap between Figma designs and production code, enabling teams to build interactive features using natural language while working with their actual code, data, and APIs. Alongside our code generation capabilities, our CMS empowers organizations to skip code generation altogether and publish updates to any live site or app in a couple clicks.

Trusted by leading mid-market to enterprise-level companies like JCrew, Vimeo, and Anheuser Busch, we're focused on eliminating the traditional bottlenecks between design, development, and content management.

Builder.io is committed to growing an inclusive and diverse team. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran, genetic information, marital status or any other legally protected status.
