About You
You’re experienced in broadcast production and are looking for an opportunity to work in an ever-changing environment where your decisions matter. You’ll use your creative thinking in both technical planning and show design while helping guide technical decisions and planning for the future. You thrive in team environments and you have a passion for chess (no matter your rating) and growing the game.
What You’ll Do
Operate vision mixing hardware and software, including up to but not limited to
vMIX
OBS
Grass Valley AMPP
Provide direction and make decisions based on technical workflows needed for shows
Be able to both direct and follow the guidance of a Director during a live show.
Make on the fly decisions regarding camera shots, angles, graphics, and the occasional audio control
Formulate and build technical documentation
Providing guidance to the rest of the control room for technical checks and rehearsals
Assist in creating a technically stable and productive live broadcast workflow
Work in support of broadcast engineers and producers to bring a unified team vision to life.
Preferred Skills
Understanding of live broadcast and streaming workflows
Minimum 3-5 years in the broadcast production or streaming fields as a technical director or similar
Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and documentation including WireCAD
Ability to thrive in fast-paced live broadcasts
Ability to quickly and efficiently respond to technical challenges, requests, and equipment failures
High level experience in vision mixing
Experience in audio mixing/routing
Experience in camera/CCU shading
Excellent computer and literacy skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
Sense of ownership and responsibility
About the Opportunity
