Location: US Remote
Couchbase’s platform depends on client libraries (SDKs) in many languages to provide access to all of the cutting edge features in our leading NoSQL database platform. These SDKs give developers data access to services from CRUD to Query and Full Text Search at their core. We also support integrations with popular IDEs and frameworks to surface this data access up-the-stack in the most easy-to-use way possible. Your role
Couchbase is looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive the developer adoption on our leading NoSQL database platform. You will work with our customers and partners to identify requirements, collaborate with our management team to set strategy direction, and partner with our engineering team to define an innovative yet pragmatic roadmap. We are looking for a versatile team player who can be both inward and outward facing, understand market dynamics and application development trends, help define and deliver solutions that make Couchbase Server that chosen NoSQL platform for developers.
Responsibilities
Follow the application development trends and evaluate opportunities to make Couchbase the preferred platform for developers and enterprises.
Define and drive integrations with popular IDEs and development frameworks in areas such as serverless, JAMstack, and WebAssembly
Partner with developer advocacy and community development teams to engage developers with our platform and integrations
Perform competitive analysis on the surrounding and adjacent developer frameworks
Qualifications
5+ years highly-focused product management experience within a dynamic technology company.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science.
Experience in enterprise software across a range of functional roles including: development, product management, or developer advocacy experience.
Strong technical skills and the ability to understand and discuss challenges facing developers
Critical thinker with a strong bias towards action, able to go deep into technology and relate technical improvements to customer use cases.
Track record of extraordinary performance and ability to work as a collaborative teammate.
Clear, crisp communicator with strong written and oral communication skills with spectacular presentation abilities.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimated salary range for this role: the estimated salary range for this role, if based in Colorado, is $140,000 - $170,000 base.
Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado with compensation that aligns with your location. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above.
