Senior Accounting Manager

About the Role:

Credible is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will help manage month-end close as well as oversee and maintain daily accounting duties related to the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with month-end closing

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and transactions

  • Analyzing, investigating, and correcting accounting entries as needed

  • Reconciling bank accounts

  • Assistance with managing multi-state tax and compliance issues

  • Supporting external audits by assisting in the preparation and accumulation of auditor request items

  • Recommending operational procedures to increase efficiency and controls

  • Developing policy and procedure manuals for the accounting department

  • Mentoring and managing accounting staff including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and Payroll

Education and Experience:

  • Must have 5-7 years of work experience

  • Must have knowledge and hands-on experience with all major accounting processes (accounts payable, accounts receivable, Payroll, Cash Management)

  • Leadership skills that emphasize accountability, success, and connecting team members

  • Must have direct involvement and experience in month-end close

  • Experience with large ERP systems, specifically Workday a plus

This role cannot be performed in the City of New York or Westchester County, NY.
