Social Media Content Lead
About Darkroom
We're building the future of advertising and are looking for the minds to help us do it.
Darkroom is a progressive omnichannel growth marketing agency focused on retail, e-commerce, and consumer businesses. We have been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. 5000 (2023), a top 1% digital advertiser by Varos (2023), and our founders were named Forbes 30 Under 30 recipients for Marketing and Advertising North America (2024).
As a Social Content Lead, you’ll own the strategy and execution of our Founders’ social media content engine while managing key channels across the agency. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, content production, and cultural fluency. Perfect for someone who thrives on building a brand in public. You’ll collaborate closely with Darkroom’s CEO, Director of Content, Design Lead and Video Lead to bring Lucas’ voice to life in ways that are smart, sharp, and made for the internet.
You’ll drive the creation of a consistent and distinctive voice across all public-facing channels, building a scalable content system that fuels awareness and inbound interest. With a deep commitment to understanding Darkroom’s target audience, you’ll craft narratives, script scroll-stopping content, write copy that cuts through, and track performance to shape what comes next.
This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Portugal and Brazil.
What You’ll Do:
Dark Social
Dark social is the founder-led content of our CEO, Lucas DiPietrantonio.
Work closely with Lucas to generate net new ideas that align with his content strategy and fit into key narrative buckets.
Own Lucas’s publishing cadence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and his newsletter.
Write all copy for posts, captions, headlines using sharp, on-brand Dark Social language. Handle copy adaptation across channels, tailoring tone and messaging for each platform
Write scripts for social videos, pull clips from podcasts, vlogs and internal footage. Build a weekly content pipeline that stays consistent across platforms.
Translate long tangents, voice notes, or unstructured thoughts into clear, punchy captions and social-ready copy.
Coordinate with the Design Lead and Video Lead to ensure content ships on time and stays aligned with the overall brand direction
Own and manage the podcasts and webinars end-to-end — from scheduling guests and preparing interview prompts to overseeing production timelines, coordinating with the video team, and ensuring consistent promotion across all channels.
Develop and assign visuals, including shorts green screen backgrounds, screen grabs, and repurposed content to the video lead and design lead.
Track and report on specific KPIs including weekly publishing SLAs, channel-level follower growth, impressions, post engagement, and newsletter subscribers.
Newsletter
Own Dark Social newsletter, authored by Lucas.
Write, edit and coordinate shipping of the newsletters each week, maintaining a consistent voice, sharp editorial tone and relevance to our core audiences.
