
Senior Director, Product Management (Growth)

Reporting to the VP and GM of Growth and Marketplace, the Senior Director, Product Management will be our product leader for DigitalOcean’s Growth initiative. You’ll be working closely with partners across the company to help drive our product-led growth strategy to directly impact customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
You will get to work with a team of high-energy and dedicated product managers, designers, and engineers to accelerate revenue growth in creative ways, by focusing on lightweight engineering efforts that can be paired with creative marketing to upsell and cross-sell into our customer base. This includes packaging products into solution-centric bundles that are oriented around our customers’ jobs-to-be-done.
This role is a great opportunity for Product Leaders with a track record of working across organizational functions (product, marketing, engineering, customer success, etc.), using data to drive decisions, and working in a rapid experimentation and fail-fast model.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Wrangling options, reconciling them with data, and prioritizing actions that will have a positive impact on revenue and growth
Using a fail-fast mode to test hypotheses with minimum engineering efforts and expanding on experiments that indicate success
Partnering with a wide range of functions and people within the organization, from marketing, sales, engineering, support, etc.
Building a team with a bias towards speed, while not sacrificing quality and simplicity
Driving Product Management best practices
Hire, develop, mentor, and provide ongoing performance feedback to Product Managers on your teams
Support senior management in the Rhythm of the Business rituals (e.g. quarterly and yearly planning, monthly business reviews, etc.)
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:
15 years or more of relevant experience in tech and cloud. 5 years or more of leadership experience. Track record leading growth initiatives
Strong product management leadership, both in this team and across the entire product space
Proven ability to manage and mentor, with high expectations for yourself and your team members
Demonstrated bias towards action tempered with critical assessment
Clear data-driven decision making skills, even in the face of incomplete or uncertain information

We reward our employees. The base salary range for this position is between $221,000-$270,000 based on relevant years of experience and skills. The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S.. Employees may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees including grants of equity upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
