JOB DESCRIPTION
Empower is looking for a growth marketing leader who brings an impressive track record of success. The Head of Growth Marketing will be responsible for leading customer acquisition and driving repeatable and scalable results across all paid media and organic discovery. You will own the end-to-end customer acquisition funnel and oversee strategy and execution to optimize a significant marketing budget against company objectives.
The ideal candidate is both a thought leader and doer who leans hard into analytics and experimentation, takes big swings, and works resourcefully across the business to improve and quantify the impact, efficiency, and profitability of our growth programs. You will be a vital contributor to the success of the business and will collaborate often with the Marketing, Product, Strategy, Finance, and Data Science teams. This role will directly manage 1 performance marketer immediately and 4-5 marketers by the end of the year.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the strategy and execution of all digital and traditional media channels, including paid social and search, television, and audio
Develop innovative tactics and programs to drive high-quality organic traffic and improve organic acquisition through app store optimization, ratings and reviews, referral, and more
Oversee campaign measurement, attribution, and reporting, including rigorous analytics of CAC, LTV, ROI as well as incrementality and marginal cost
Use data-driven methodologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all growth programs
Create a robust testing framework and drive agility in experimentation to improve LTV/CAC ratio
Work with Product and Engineering teams to boost conversion in app onboarding, enhance our ad-tech stack, and improve marketing measurement and attribution
Collaborate with Credit and Data Science teams to improve measurement rigor and our understanding of customer quality
Build, lead, and develop a team of high-impact performance marketers
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
8-10 years of experience developing and executing paid media and organic growth strategies for B2C businesses
Strong knowledge of paid social and search best practices
Fluency in mobile app acquisition and mobile ad-tech
Previous success managing a $15M+ annual media budget
Deep understanding of digital marketing measurement and attribution
Track record in conceptualizing and executing bold and effective campaigns
Agility in changing direction based on results and new information
Ability to inspire and get the best out of direct reports and business partners
Based in the US (remote is fine)
