Summary
Production Manager for Feature Film
Epipheo is an animation studio with a long history in advertising, but we are working on our first feature film. We’ve worked hard to build a balanced, healthy, and sustainable work culture for our advertising team, and we need a production manager to help do the same for our film department.
The production manager manages the daily activities of the production. They will establish and maintain the production schedule and report every week. They will help define the culture alongside the Producer on the production team.
Responsibilities
Training Department Managers to ensure they understand the process.
Communicating with the Producer, Director, Artists, and Department Managers to ensure we meet the production schedule. Translate the Master Schedule into departmental plans. Monitor daily progress, and report variances to the Producer. Identify and elevate areas of appropriate concern to the Producer.
Tracking all costs to ensure the production stays within the budget. Communicate and troubleshoot budget problems with the Producer and Production Executives.
Supervising the preparation of pre-production materials for shipping. Directly manage the production staff to prep materials, QC them, and get them ready to send to vendor partners. Notify the Producer of any delays ahead of time.
Assist the Producer with performance reviews to provide the crew with clear feedback and help develop growth plans.
Create onboarding training modules inside of our training system for all new hires.
May run Production Management meetings as requested by the Producer.
Generate and distribute reports as needed
Work with the Art Department to create test materials for artists. Handle test assignments through completion.
Create pipelines and translate them into review processes. Create and maintain process docs for the film.
Responsible for overseeing data management – ensuring accurate capture of materials and precise data. Help train production staff on production software as needed.
Manage, motivate and create an environment conducive to achieving deadlines and artistic goals. Foster a team culture of collaboration and open communication where mistakes are an opportunity for growth.
Develop strong relationships with partner studios to ensure daily communication runs smoothly, troubleshoot issues, and foresee and avoid potential delays.
Basic qualifications
3-5 years of previous experience in Animation production.
Strong knowledge of Animation workflow processes.
Skills
Computer skills required: Google Productivity Suite, Any project management platform
Computer skills preferred: Photoshop, Toon Boom, Airtable,
Must have the ability to adapt to changing software applications.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of production staff and artists. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to organize, schedule, and delegate work effectively.
Must be proactive and be an effective problem solver. Must have the ability to lead with a positive attitude and encourage collaboration.
Must be able to manage time and balance priorities amid busy, deadline-driven production pressures.
Compensation & benefits
W2 Full Time Remote Position
