Account Manager - Summary
Giant Propeller is looking for a full-time Account Manager to oversee our portfolio of clients. It’s a pivotal role requiring a proven ability to balance the client's needs, wants, and priorities, and the agency's bottom line. You play a crucial role in client retention and potentially bringing in new business as part of an existing client referral process.
As our Account Manager, you must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to finesse delicate client relationships while driving the agency to produce its best results. You know when to push and when to let things simmer. The Account Manager's job duties include having an assertive but non-aggressive leadership style. You play a large part in determining the agency's use of time and resources in conjunction with our Production Manager and then present the product deliverables to the client. This position reports to our Head of Operations.
You must also develop an understanding of:
The client's business model and marketing needs
The marketplace and factors affecting sales
Advertising techniques from creative, research, and media outreach
Responsibilities:
Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with Clients
Facilitate Client Communication through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share, and in-person meetings
Maintain a knowledge base of all client information
Act as a client advocate for the internal team
Work with our Leadership Team to identify and grow opportunities
Work with Leadership Team and managers to ensure client plans are developed and executed against
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Distill all client requests into actionable tasks for the production team
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Communicate clearly the progress of weekly/monthly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Prepare reports on account status and present them to the client
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and develop existing client relationships
Liaise between the customer and internal teams
Qualifications:
C2 Fluent in English
4-year degree or equivalent work experience
Excellent computer literacy skills
Requirements:
3+ years of account management or other relevant experience (an agency background is extra desirable!)
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to finesse delicate client relationships while driving results
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Deep digital understanding
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Understanding of website development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing, and internet technology
Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to find efficiencies in processes
Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Suite
