We are currently looking for talented and knowledgeable freelance writers to join our team, with a focus on evergreen and list-based football (soccer) content for a global audience.

As a fast-paced digital publisher, GiveMeSport is seeking contributors who can consistently produce engaging, well-researched, and SEO-driven articles covering the world of football.

Your Responsibilities

• Write high-quality evergreen and list-based articles focused on football (soccer), with a particular focus on the Premier League and International football.
   

• Cover a wide range of topics including:
   

  • Historical rankings and comparisons
     

  • Player and team analysis
     

  • Records, stats, and milestones
     

  • Premier League and global football content
     

• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time
   

• Pitch relevant and trending evergreen/list ideas
   

• Update existing evergreen content, optimized for Google search
   

• Maintain a consistent freelance output
   

• Collaborate with editors and implement feedback efficiently
   

• Adhere to GiveMeSport’s editorial standards and style guide

Experience and Skills

• Educational background in journalism, sports media, or a related field (preferred)
   

• 2+ years of experience writing sports content, ideally football-focused
   

• Experience writing list-based and SEO-driven content
   

• Experience using SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs etc.)
   

• Strong knowledge of football (soccer), particularly the UK/European game
   

• Familiarity with:
   

  • Premier League and major European leagues
     

  • Historical football context and iconic players/teams
     

  • Current trends and fan conversations
     

• Ability to write clear, engaging, and structured articles
   

• Experience using a CMS (preferred)
