Principal Product (UX) Researcher

About the Work:

  • Drive the product/design vision and strategy for a key product vertical, and oversee all research work in that area

  • Establish deep domain knowledge and empathy for users across The Care Platform

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to shape product design vision, identify research opportunities and manage a research roadmap

  • Plan and drive the research strategy, using appropriate methodologies to achieve goals

  • Lead and conduct a variety of user research activities, including surveys, competitive/analogous research, field research, co-creation, diary studies, usability testing (remote and in-person), etc.

  • Synthesize quantitative data and qualitative research findings into actionable insights

  • Articulate research insights in a memorable and compelling narrative

  • Keep the team focused on the users throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Increase the impact of research through strong advocacy and education

About you:

  • 10+ years of work experience in product development.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and research deliverables that resulted in product and/or business impact.

  • Establish deep domain knowledge and empathy for end users in one or more product areas

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to shape product design vision, identify research opportunities and manage a research roadmap

  • Plan and drive the research strategy, using appropriate methodologies to achieve product goals

  • Lead and conduct a variety of user research activities, including surveys, competitive/analogous research, field research, co-creation, diary studies, usability testing (remote and in-person), etc.

  • Expert understanding of research methodology and when to apply each method.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work dynamically, ability to flex and iterate on your process as the organization grows

  • An excellent communicator and collaborator who can work well with various groups and levels of the organization

  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates experience informing the design of complex products (web and mobile apps) that customers love

  • Humility and the desire to learn from those around you

  • Passion for Honor’s mission and the impact we can have on the world

Bonus:

  • Experience working in a startup

  • Experience researching logistics-based webtools and/or mobile apps

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology or related field, or equivalent practical experience

What’s next?

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. No roles will require permanent relocation, but as conditions allow, we'll have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA and Austin, TX hubs.
