Data & Automation Analyst

Turn messy field-service data into numbers an owner can trust.

We're hiring for an established exterior cleaning company in Cleveland, Ohio. The owner is a sales-first leader, and his managers run the crews. What he's missing is someone in the background who owns the numbers: clean data, reliable KPIs, and the systems that deliver them without him digging through spreadsheets.
Today the data lives in several tools and doesn't always agree. Your first job is to fix that. Your long-term job is to be the owner's right hand on numbers, processes, and automation.
This is not a data-entry role, and you won't manage technicians.

What you'll build
- Clean, trusted data. Audit the job management system (Workiz) and connected tools, find where the numbers break, and fix the source.
- Job costing. Show what each job actually earned after labor, materials, and other direct costs.
- Core KPIs. Revenue per labor hour, close rate, and job margin, tracked the same way every week.
- Numbers in seconds. Send key metrics from Workiz into Slack so the owner sees them without asking.
- Automations. Connect tools through APIs, webhooks, or no-code platforms to remove manual work.
- AI setup. Take over and improve the owner's current AI tools and workflows so he stops spending his own time on them.

Must-haves
- Working Python experience: scripts, API calls, and data cleanup.
- Hands-on AI-assisted coding. You build and debug real projects with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- You've deployed a working site or app to Replit, Vercel, or a similar platform (Netlify, Render, Railway).
- Strong Google Sheets or Excel, plus working SQL.
- Experience cleaning and reconciling messy business data.
- You've connected tools through APIs (REST, webhooks, Zapier, Make, or code).
- You understand job costing and gross margin.
- You explain numbers in plain English to an owner who isn't technical.
- At least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern time.
- Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have
Field-service software experience (Workiz, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro).
JavaScript.
Dashboard tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI.
