Fulfillment Operations Manager

Build the team. Bring order to chaos. Help the business grow.

KC Power Clean provides professional cleaning and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. We’re hiring a hands-on Fulfillment Operations Manager to lead the remote team that turns sold work into completed, billable work.

We need someone who has already helped a service business grow. Someone who understands revenue, capacity, and profitability, develops capable leaders, and builds an operation that can handle more work without senior leadership rescuing every disrupted day.

This is not a calendar-management or message-forwarding role. You’ll oversee scheduling, dispatch, and job-management staff, including the people who coordinate work with field teams. You won’t directly supervise technicians, but you will be accountable for your department’s planning, decisions, communication, and follow-through.

You must be willing to get into the details when needed. The goal is not to become the person who fixes everything personally. It is to build a team that makes sound decisions and delivers dependable results.

━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Lead the people running the work.
Set priorities, assign clear owners and deadlines, develop team leads, and address missed commitments. Build accountability across a remote team without relying on constant reminders.
Plan capacity, not just calendars.
Build realistic schedules that account for job scope, technician skills, travel, equipment, labor hours, and available capacity. Identify constraints early and recommend practical ways to fulfill more work.
Make work ready before dispatch.
Ensure customer confirmations, access details, crew assignments, and job instructions are complete. Close information gaps before they become field delays or customer problems.
Recover disrupted days.
Handle callouts, equipment conflicts, delays, and schedule changes. Develop workable alternatives, communicate decisions, and verify that everyone affected understands the revised plan.
Own difficult conversations.
Lead customer rescheduling and complaint conversations. Challenge unrealistic commitments and hold team members accountable with direct, respectful communication. Bring in field expertise or approval when needed, but retain responsibility for follow-through.
Connect operations to business results.
Understand how scheduling and coordination affect completed revenue, labor costs, overtime, customer retention, and profitability. Work with sales and field leadership to align commitments with actual delivery capacity.
Build systems that support growth.
Improve workflows, decision rules, training, and reporting. Use scheduling software, spreadsheets, automation, and AI to reduce errors and improve visibility. Fix recurring problems instead of accepting daily firefighting as normal.
Keep jobs moving through closeout.
Track work from scheduling through completion and closeout readiness. Ensure accurate information reaches the people responsible for customer follow-up and billing.

WHO WILL SUCCEED HERE
You have led a scheduling, dispatch, logistics, or field-service operations team through business growth. You can explain what grew, what you personally owned, and how you expanded capacity while protecting service quality and financial performance.
You have developed supervisors or team leads, not just managed your own workload. You know how to delegate decisions, coach judgment, and check results.
You’re commercially minded. Revenue and growth don’t intimidate you. You understand that a full calendar is not the same as a productive, profitable operation.
You bring order to chaos without depending on chaos to feel valuable. You can recover a difficult day and then change the process that caused the problem.

You’re willing to get hands-on. You can investigate a job, rebuild a schedule, or handle an upset customer yourself when the situation requires it.
You’re comfortable with difficult conversations. You can say no, correct performance, and challenge an unrealistic promise without becoming aggressive or personal.
You lead effectively from a remote seat. You create visibility, establish clear expectations, and verify outcomes rather than assuming a message sent means a problem solved.
You make sound decisions with incomplete information. When an issue needs approval or technical expertise, you bring the facts, options, and your recommendation.

━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Tomorrow’s work is ready before the day begins.
Customers know what to expect, and crews receive accurate instructions and the right resources.
Capacity plans support growing demand without hiding overload, unused capacity, or avoidable costs.
Schedule disruptions receive a clear plan, an owner, and timely communication.
Team leads and coordinators become more capable of resolving issues without your constant intervention.
Recurring problems decrease because the underlying causes are addressed.
Completed work reaches customer follow-up and billing without unresolved coordination gaps.
Senior leadership spends less time rescuing routine operations because you and your team own the results.

IS THIS YOUR KIND OF ROLE?
You’ll fit here if you enjoy developing people, solving operational problems, and helping a service business grow.
You don’t need every answer. You do need to investigate, make a decision or recommendation, handle the conversation, and follow through.
If you prefer waiting for detailed instructions, avoiding conflict, or considering a problem handled once you’ve forwarded it, this is not the right role.

Don't let this one get away.
