What We Do

Laika combines simple software with expert guidance to help SaaS companies manage security compliance, security audits, and enterprise procurement security diligence. Laika helps companies adopt stage-appropriate compliance practices that enterprises can trust and reduce the time and costs of security audits by 50% or more.

We are a rapidly expanding team based in New York. We were founded in May 2019 and raised our Series C funding in November 2022. Our top investors include: J.P. Morgan, PayPal Ventures, Fin Capital, Centana, and Bain Capital. We're growing customers and revenue dramatically and we’re poised for continued break-out growth in 2023 and beyond.

About the Role

We are hiring a full-time, remote, Senior Designer, Brand & Marketing Creative to help sculpt Laika’s brand. This role will be tasked with creating and updating all brand and marketing elements with the new visual guidelines. The ideal candidate has a modern/polished design style along with the portfolio to prove it.

This role will be reporting directly to Director, Brand & Marketing Creative and collaborate closely with marketing and project management teams to define project scopes and meet deadlines.

What You'll Do

  • Champion brand guidelines and steward brand evolution across the organization: employer brand internal comms, social presence, customer and prospect experiences, and investor communications.

  • Hold and share passionate opinions on what constitutes a delightful on-brand experience through beautiful work that constantly sets a new bar for quality within the organization.

  • Report to Director, Brand Creative & Marketing and collaborate closely with marketing and project management teams to define project scopes and meet deadlines.

  • Educate team members on how to integrate the brand’s visual and verbal identities into all touch-points

Skillsets/ Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in digital design and production, and a keen eye for detail. Agency and startup experience is a plus.

  • Extremely high standards for branding aesthetics and positioning down to the finest detail of every single creative execution, across a variety of mediums and initiatives

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to present design concepts, strategy and motivations to cross-functional team members including c-suite execs

  • Experience collaborating with senior creatives, and working with cross-functional teams and department heads to reach a common goal

  • A current perspective on what makes for a good brand and marketing experience

  • Mastery of typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, color, and composition and excellent understanding of design principles 

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, and Docs)

  • A strong portfolio of recent and relevant work that showcases all of the above

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 which will be commensurate with experience
