Your core responsibility is to design, optimize, and maintain the payment engine within the LearnWorlds academy, currently serving end customers across global markets. You’ll lead product integrations with payment providers, define checkout experience and pricing models, and ensure compliance with tax & regulatory frameworks.

You’ll also support broader e-commerce capabilities, from product catalogs to optimized checkout flows, including pricing models, offers and promotions, but your core accountability will be to maintain and iterate on a robust payments platform that powers tens of thousands of daily transactions.

This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires deep domain expertise in payments, with a solid understanding of commerce flows and monetization mechanics, providing an opportunity to contribute to and shape one of the most impactful product areas of our platform.

  • Lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of LearnWorlds’ payments infrastructure

  • Own integrations with global and regional payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, etc.)

  • Enhance and evolve checkout flows, including 3D Secure, fraud protection, currency/localization support, and tax handling

  • Support diverse pricing models: subscriptions, one-time, trials, usage-based, seat-based, bundles, and coupons.

  • Handle lifecycle events: refunds, failed payments, dunning flows, chargebacks

  • Extend e-commerce capabilities across product catalog, pricing configuration and discount systems to enable creators to scale growth and sales

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineers, product marketers, support, and partnerships to ship and scale payments features

  • Maintain visibility on industry shifts in fintech, checkout UX, and payment orchestration

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or digital commerce, with at least 3 focused on payments or monetization infrastructure

  • Proven track record of owning payments infrastructure or checkout systems

  • Understanding of tax, invoicing, and compliance frameworks across international markets

  • Hands-on experience with pricing systems, subscription logic, and e-commerce UX

  • Strong grasp of common revenue models (e.g. subscriptions, seat-based, usage-based) and how to support them in product

  • Experience with financial tooling and working closely with finance/legal stakeholders

  • Solid technical fluency with APIs and system design in payment and commerce domains

  • Comfort navigating trade-offs between security, speed, cost, and customer experience

  • Strong ownership mindset, structured communication, and bias toward execution

What you’ll gain

The opportunity to own and grow a core revenue-driving area of the LearnWorlds platform

  • Impact: Shape how creators, educators, and businesses monetize knowledge at scale

  • Autonomy: Define strategy, lead execution, and evolve systems across payments and commerce
