Introduction:

We are looking for a Game Designer I to join the Final Fantasy XV: War for Eos team within MZ. In this role, you will be reporting into the Lead Game Designer and work closely with a feature pod on the team, as well as other members of the game design team. You will be responsible for design and spec writing on new features, as well as their implementation. 

Responsibilities:

• Be a member of a feature pod for Final Fantasy XV: War for Eos

• Support game design needs for that feature pod, such as writing specs and implementing game data

• Maintain strong communication with the team so they understand the “why” 

• Enact goal oriented game design

• Design and implement game balance and economy for new features in accordance with larger game strategies

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, data analysts, UI, Art, CS, and QA

• Become an expert in your product area by analyzing industry trends, competition, and relevant markets

• Dig deep into analytics to make sound decisions

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills

• Deep familiarity with games

• Ability to write game specs

• Ability to implement game data in google sheets

• Some familiarity with Perforce, JIRA, Slack

Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.

Bay Area base pay range; Total compensation package commensurate with experience

$73,000—$112,000 USD
