Senior UX Researcher

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, the UX Researcher will partner with product designers to inspire change at all stages of product development by delivering compelling, written, in-person and visual presentations on your findings.

You will create understanding and empathy around user needs by conducting primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users through methods like field visits, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. Your research will help us create useful, usable, and delightful new products and experiences for people and improve on our existing products. All of Olo's openings are open for remote workers that are US based.

What You'll Do

• Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences, including our design system

• Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments using A/B testing.

• Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers to prioritize research opportunities.

• Incorporate complex technical requirements into research.

• Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.

• Grow test participant pool and conduct field research to validate personas.

• Provide expertise regarding research approaches and analysis.

What We'll Expect From You

• 3+ years of qualitative and quantitative research experience.

• Portfolio or samples of your work.

• Desire to develop empathy for users of our products.

• Knowledge of UX design principles, processes, and best practices.

• Knowledge of ADA guidelines and best practices.

Additional Qualifications

• Knowledge of Don Norman's Design of Everyday Things.

• Experience with Design Thinking methodologies and rapid prototyping.
