The Role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including regulatory (SEC) and financial reporting, KPI reporting, budget & control and capital allocation and cash flow management for the group of companies and assets. 

The Controller's responsibilities will also include financial risk management and staying on top of regulation changes that may affect the company.

Common duties include:

Reporting & Compliance:

• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report

• Coordinate quarterly & annual audits

• Coordinate all relevant filings to IRS, SEC 

• Produce monthly reports of Profit and Loss and Cash-flow

• Deliver financial and operational reporting to the senior management

• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  

Internal Organisation

• Coordinate with the bookkeeping providers to deliver timely and accurate information for the internal reports

• Continuously Improve internal reporting processes and efficiency

• Setup and improve internal control systems

Other

• Support and coordinate financial due diligence on potential acquisitions

• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts per asset and company

• Proactively suggest improvements to management based on data

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller, preferably with a Nasdaq listed company

• Thorough understanding of US GAAP

• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

• Experience with creating financial statements 

• Experience with owning & improving management reporting processes

• Advanced degree or informal education in Accounting (preferred)

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Experience with remote or online businesses 

• Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting software and Google G-Suite
