Sales Strategy Manager

We’re using fermentation (not animals) to make dairy proteins that are the foundation for foods like ice cream, cheese and yogurt – all with the distinctive taste and textures that consumers demand, but without lactose or environmental downsides. Through partnerships with respected brands, we’re working to launch a whole range of dairy products that will help shape a humane, sustainable food system for future generations. 

The Sales Strategy Manager role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in sales analytics and operations, market analysis, sales optimization and business operational support. This role is chartered with assisting B2C leadership in driving the business forward.

Deliverables take the form of recommendations on go-to-market plans, net revenue management, sales coverage and GTM strategy and investment prioritization. The successful candidate will work very closely with executives to own and drive the development and execution of the annual sales plan.

Essential functions

  • Leverage data to inform commercial strategy, including pricing and promotional strategies and channel investments

  • Support commercial teams with new channel and customer growth strategies

  • Work cross-functionally to assist in the development of go-to-market strategies for new products launches and pack price architecture

  • Own the annual and long-range sales planning process.

  • Analyze the health of the business and ensure that effective tracking and course correction measures are implemented

Other functions

  • Manage the relationship with data providers and drive ROI

  • Own and maintain ongoing analysis of sales performance and brand health

  • Analyze and track the performance of top of the funnel programs

  • Provide a mix of sound statistical analysis combined with practical data management development

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics, and craft plans to address pronounced weakness

  • Identify untapped market potential; design and recommend sales plans to capture it

Required education and experience

  • BS/BA required - MBA a plus

  • 7+ years of work experience in sales, sales management, sales strategy or equivalent function with significant exposure to sales teams, OR experience in management consulting with strong exposure to B2C go-to-market strategy

  • Proven analytical experience

  • Proven track record establishing, achieving and exceeding metrics and goals

  • Experience working in a high-growth organization

  • Experience successfully working cross-functionally across multiple departments within a company (i. e. Marketing, Operations, etc)

  • Fluency in written and spoken business English

  • CPG experience  

Travel requirement

  • Travel is required up to 25%
