The Role

As an FP&A Associate at PIP Labs, you will be at the forefront of shaping the financial strategy and operational planning for a high-growth software development company, seamlessly blending innovative blockchain and tokenomics initiatives with traditional business operations. While blockchain and token-related financial modeling are key aspects of this role, a substantial portion will also involve traditional FP&A responsibilities, such as headcount planning, budgeting, and investment allocation. You will collaborate across teams to provide actionable insights, ensure effective resource planning, and deliver investor reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, integrating both traditional business metrics and blockchain-specific data.

• Support the financial planning and operational strategy for headcount growth and resource allocation in a high-growth software development environment.

• Lead investor reporting by preparing comprehensive financial updates that include both traditional company metrics and tokenomics insights.

• Analyze key metrics such as headcount productivity, operating expenses, token circulation, and blockchain transaction volumes to provide strategic recommendations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, to align financial plans with company objectives, including token management strategies and operational growth.

• Conduct scenario analysis and modeling to support investment decisions, token management, and operational scaling.

• Prepare materials for executive and board-level discussions, presenting a holistic view of the company’s performance, including blockchain/tokenomics and broader financial data.

• Drive process improvement in financial planning, reporting, and systems to enhance scalability and efficiency, incorporating blockchain analytics tools where relevant.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are not required.

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, with exposure to blockchain, tokenomics, or high-growth technology companies a strong plus.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modeling and a solid understanding of blockchain financial ecosystems.

• Proven experience managing headcount planning and operational budgeting in a high-growth organization.

• Proficiency with financial tools such as Excel and SQL; familiarity with blockchain analytics tools is a bonus.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver complex financial insights to diverse stakeholders.

• Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Strong preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone.
